GIMME SHELTER by THE ROLLING STONES

The Rolling Stones wrote Gimme Shelter and they published it 5 th December 1969 as the initial song of the album Let it Bleed. The message that they wanted to transmit is that the war of Vietnam was not a war as all the people thought in the conventional sense and it was not like World War II, or like Korea or the Gulf War.
They claimed that it was a real nasty war. For these reasons, the Rolling Stones wrote it because it was a good way to show to the people how was the war.
“Gimme shelter” is considered one of the best recordings of the band and one of the best songs in rock history. I have chosen this song because I like it and I think that the way they transmit the message is really original.
