21 guns by green day

The song that I have chosen is 21 guns. This song was written by Green Day in 2009. Green Day is an American pop punk and pop rock band which is made up of 3 members:  Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt y  Tré Cool .
This band decided to write and sing this song with the purpose of remembering the 21 soldiers who went to the Iraq War and who did not return alive or came back destroyed inside. It’s an antimilitarist song. 21 guns is a final wake-up call at a critical moment for us to realize that we are going downhill and without brakes, but that we still have time to change direction and turn the page.
This song says you have to try to let yourself be carried away by the environment to find some inner peace, strength or silence.
I have chosen this song because I played with the guitar this last summer and I sang it with many of my friends and also because I like a lot its meaning and it transmits a lot of excitement and encourages me.
I think making songs with a meaning like this are very important because people listen to it and it is another way for people to become aware of what is happening.
